Mat hooks are insulation system components used to secure rock wool mats with wire mesh (mesh-faced mats) on pipelines, ductwork, tanks, boilers, filters, and other industrial equipment. They provide a durable and stable attachment of the insulation to surfaces protected against heat loss and external factors.

During installation, the insulation mat is positioned on the surface and secured using the wire mesh. The mesh is tensioned and twisted along the seams with installation hooks. This method provides a tight fit, stable attachment, and even distribution of the fastening force.

Installation is typically carried out using hand tools such as installation hooks and needles, pliers, and other auxiliary tools selected to suit the insulated object and site conditions.
It is recommended to use 6 to 10 installation hooks per linear meter of the joint, depending on the type of insulated object, insulation thickness, mat density, and operating conditions.

Hooks should be made of the same material as the mesh used on the mats.
