Banding straps are used for fastening and securing multi-part flange and valve insulation covers. Once installed and secured with toggle catches, they form a tensioning band around the cover, ensuring proper compression, secure closure and reliable fixation.

In industrial insulation applications, the bands are typically made from material compatible with the cover fastening components and the protective metal jacketing. Strapping bands are also used to secure protective cladding, fittings, insulation mats and pipe sections made from various insulation materials.

For protective jacketing made of coated sheet metal, stainless steel bands are recommended to ensure material compatibility with the cover fasteners.

Banding straps are most commonly supplied in coils and are available in various widths and thicknesses.
